Wireless Broadband
Access Network Coordination (BANC) is a group of fixed-wireless operators
that are working together to minimize interference and maximize reliability
and spectrum efficiency. BANC provides a common point of coordination by and between its participants. Other operators and users of unlicensed fixed-wireless spectrum are encouraged to communicate with BANC members or join. BANC is completely member driven and independent of any specific operators. Operators in all markets are encouraged to work together and form their own groups. This site serves as a directory to help operators list their local groups or to find existing groups in their areas. If you plan to deploy in an area with a BANC group, please contact that group and consider participating. Reasons why BANC make sense. (PowerPoint) BANC communications are facilitated via independent mailing lists for each region (such as Yahoo Groups).
